Introducing the Vintage Home Gym Archive

I’ve been wanting to find a way to honor individuals who own and use vintage weights for some time now. Sharing on my Instagram was easy enough, but it seemed lacking. I had questions! How did they get their weights? Which ones were their favorite? I wanted to see more of their gym. I wanted to get to know them.

Vintage Home Gym Archive will be just that. It’s a mixed media presentation of the vintage weight collector’s home gym. You will find an interview, pictures, and videos to explore.

The vintage weight collecting community is larger than I initially thought. It’s a community of collectors, and I hope to showcase a variety of them. From someone just starting their journey to a veteran in the iron trade; a professional trainer’s paradise to a parent’s home gym littered with kids’ toys. The Vintage Home Gym Archive will provide a spot for you to stop by and learn a little bit about not just a collection, but also the collector that lifts it.

Mike Sousa was kind enough to be the first entry in the Vintage Home Gym Archive. You can explore his gym here.
